Website Management and Graphic Design



Job Summary

The Website Management and Graphic Design position is a project driven position which conceptualizes, designs, and executes a wide variety of website related creative projects for the Marketing Department. Projects will include executing website and e-mail campaigns for Seastrom and Purely Custom products, design and analyze new products for both brands using up-to-date design software while under deadlines and shifting priorities and maintaining excellent time management and organizational skills.

Requirements
  • Manage deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Directly undertaking website or database related projects or subcontracting those projects to other vendors as directed and agreed upon by management, and managing the overall project for completion.
  • Basic, but thorough, knowledge of up-to-date website scripting.
  • Overall management of Seastrom and Purely Custom websites. Will be responsible for making sure that all websites are functioning properly, and will take immediate action to resolve functionality issues, bring majors problems to the attention of management for resolution.
  • Will initiate website promotional and e-mail campaigns as discussed and agreed upon by members of the marketing team.
  • Brainstorm for new ad strategies.
  • Graphic design relating to new products and/or customer order requirements.
  • Processes within the department are to be reviewed and monitored on a continuous basis for effectiveness and possible improvements.
  • Cooperation with supervisor and co-workers, willing to work as a team.
  • Timely arrival and regular attendance at work.
  • Most work will be conducted during normal business hours. Must be willing to work some overtime or during different hours as required for project completion.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. However, must be able to direct and manage the activities of vendors contracted to perform website and/or e-commerce projects for successful completion on-time and on budget.

Computer Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of up-to-date internet scripting, graphic design software, document or image manipulation software, and Microsoft Office applications required.
Education and/or Experience
  • Associate degree/Technical certification or equivalent combination of education and experience, with emphasis in website and graphic design.
Language Skills
  • The ability to read, write and speak the English language with comprehension skills sufficient to understand safety standards and job performance expectations.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to interpret instructions which may be furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Able to create and maintain all forms of graphs, charts, and diagrams.

  • The noise level in the environment is quiet.
Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required use hands to finger, handle, or grab; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to25 pounds.
